SMU Rolls over UNT, 65-35

The Mustangs walked all over UNT Saturday night with a huge win, 65-35. Shane Buechele was all over the stat sheet complete 24 of 33 passes for 344 yards.

History was also made in Denton for SMU. With putting up 65 points, this game ranked 5th overall for SMU, 4th game with at least 59 point under Coach Dykes, and most in a road game for SMU. Last time this record was broken was 62 points at Connecticut in 2018.

With the Mustangs also rolling into a total of 710 yards, history books were also rewritten. This is the 8th time in the last 15 games with at least 500 yards. 1,254 yards were completed so far this season with 544 at Texas State.

The Mustangs have their home opener Saturday, September 26 at 6 p.m. against SFA.
